Château Grand Gamelle has been in the Allegret-Roy family for several generations. This is a small vineyard in the extreme eastern outreaches of the Entre-Deux-Mers region. The vines are planted on clay-limestone slopes on the Pineuilh hills.
Winemaking is traditional, with a mix of stainless steel and concrete tanks, all of which are temperature-controlled. There is a long vatting period of five to six weeks. No oak is used.
This is a smooth, gentle wine with a good fruit expression and great aromatic length. Try it with a fat slab of steak, venison or beef!
