Goyenchea Goye Malbec, Roble, Argentina
Ruby-red with purple highlights, bright and lively. A delicate nose with dry fruits, walnuts and light spices. On the palate, soft and fruity with little tannin and a blackberry flavour. The start is smooth and fruity, with hints of vanilla and chocolate. A young and well-balanced wine, ideal to pair with red meat, game birds, stews and stuffed pasta.
Franschhoek Cellar Merlot, South Africa
Bright ruby red with attractive plum and black cherry aromas with a herbaceous quality, liquorice and gentle oak spice. Soft and juicy with mouth-filling summer berry flavours that finish smoothly with well-balanced acidity. Easy to drink on its own but great with spicy sausages, roast lamb, spaghetti bolognaise, pizza or cottage pie.
Boundry Hut Pinot Noir, Marlborough, New Zealand
Award winning Pinot Noir from Marlborough. Jammy flavours of strawberries and blackberries medium acidity and body with a pleasant long finish. Great on its own but will work well with game and robust fish dishes.
Louis Latour Domaine de Valmoissine Pinot Noir, France
Bright ruby red in colour with dominant red fruit and somewhat floral on the nose. The palate is elegant and restrained with ripe redcurrant and wild strawberry, finishing light bodied and youthful with herbaceous notes. A savoury edge, consistent with the variety helps balance the wine. Allow to open in the glass, best served with red meat and cheese.
Susana Balbo Wines - Crios Limited Edition Tannat
Argentinian Pioneer Susana Balbo has created a wine from Tannat – a grape that is usually kept for blending. Here this highly aromatic and deep coloured wine offers up dark red and black fruit, with good levels of tannin and acidity to provide structure. Well balanced it’s an iron fist in a velvet glove kinda wine! Great with Steak or mushroom risotto.
Petit Sios Red, Costers del Serges, Spain
A young, fruity and fresh red wine, it is direct and unpretentious, ideal for everyone at any occasion. Persistent and full of flavour. Blending Syrah and Garnacha with a touch of Cabernet then 4 months in French oak makes this an interesting and excellent all-rounder wine.
