Schola Sarmenti Cubardi Primitivo IGT Salento, Puglia Italy

Made from 65-year-old vine fruit for extra concentration and depth. An absolute mammoth of a red wine - huge depth of dark fruit turning to coffee and chocolate on the finish. Amazing with roasted red meat and strong cheese.

Torreón de Paredes Reserva Privada Cabernet Sauvignon (unfiltered), Cachapoal, Chile

An elegant bouquet with vanilla, leather and dried plum aromas. Long, lingering presence on the palate with round, mature tannins and elegant menthol notes. Elegant and powerful its great with any type of roast or steak and strong cheese. Decanter Gold Medal Winner.

Mabis - Neropasso, Originale Rosso IGT Italy

Intense ruby red turning to garnet with ageing. The nose is spicy with hints of cherry, black cherry and plum compote. A fine palate, velvety, persistent, with soft tannins at the end. Part of this wine goes through a process known as Apetissmo, where partially dried grapes enhance the concentration and flavours. This is a rich silky smooth red with mocha and cherry notes, great with all types of meat and cheese.

Domaine De La Berthete, Côtes Du Rhône Villages Rouge, Sainte Cécile, Southern Rhône, France

Pascal and his wife, Marie-Pierre Maillet, work the stone ridden, clay-limestone soils of the plain to create wonderful vigorous wines in a traditional style from 35-year-old vines. Full of garrigue notes with sweet black fruit and nuances of spice, these wines are some the best hand crafted offerings in the Southern Rhône. Instantly appealing, perfumed, fresh, generous fruit and full-bodied flavours, which develop layers of complexity interwoven with notes of liquorice and soft spice. The keynotes of freshness, fruit and finesse linger long into the finish.

Woodstock, Pilot's View Shiraz, McLaren Vale, South Australia

Flying Spitfires during WWII, Douglas Collett A.M was privileged to a pilot’s eye-view of the vineyards of Europe. Returning home, Doug saw the future for an Australian table wine industry, moving on from fortified styles. He loved the natural beauty and robust flavours of McLaren Vale, acquiring Woodstock Estate in 1973. Dark berries, plum and chocolate nuances with some mint, vanilla and spice highlight the underlying savoury tones and well-integrated oak characters. Supple, textured tannins leave you wanting more from this well awarded wine. Great with anything but try it with beef wellington and hard cheddar.
