Torreon de Parades Chardonnay Reserva Privada, Chile
Award-winning Chardonnay, it is buttery, complex and has a striking finish. Fermented and aged in new French oak for 10 months, it’s golden yellow and produces ripe tropical fruit, banana and pineapple. The unctuous palate exhibits fine hints of vanilla and caramel with a long, balanced finish. Great with roast meats.
Albert Bichot Bourgogne Chardonnay Vieilles Vignes Burgundy, France
Established by the Bichot Family in 1912 this respected producer has a wide range of wines. This entry level wine over delivers in spades! The white flower and citrus nose leads to notes of honey and dried fruit. The palate is dry, very well balanced, skillfully blending vivacity and roundness. A classic wine to pair with Turkey.
Domaine du Colombier Chablis, France
A wonderful Chablis from the family-run Domaine du Colombier produced entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown on vines up to 50 years old. It's then aged for around 18 months, so it's full of fruit and balancing mineral notes. A star pairing with oysters, if you have any to hand!
Crozes Hermitage Blanc, Etienne Barret, Rhone France
Often overlooked for its red brother, white Northern Rhone is a treat worth seeking out. A blend of of Marsanne and Roussanne, this is quite delicious wine with a clean, slightly floral nose and hints of apple on the palate. It is smooth, medium bodied with a long finish. Perfect with simply cooked fish, pork or a good glass on its own.
