On the opposite coast to Tuscany lies the less well known region of Marche. This is where you will find the family run Zaccagnini winery, established by two brothers. Pale straw yellow with a green hue. Unoaked, delicate and elegant, with notes of yeast and fresh bread. Fresh, dry, savoury with a pleasant
finish and excellent acidity.

Feudo Antico was created on a small plot of land in the heart of Abruzzo. It is in Italy's smallest DOP and the first designation of its kind in Abruzzo. Coming from vines with well established and ancient roots, this is a robust red with a big persona, complex aromas and fruity notes, finished off with elegant spicy hints.
Great with: rich red meat with deep roast flavours.

Pascal & his wife, Marie-Pierre work the stone ridden, clay-limestone soils of the plain to create wonderful vigorous wines in a traditional style from 35 year old vines. Full of garrigue notes with sweet black fruit and nuances of spice, these wines are some the best hand crafted offerings in the Southern Rhône. Perfumed, fresh, generous fruit and full-bodied flavours which develop layers of complexity interwoven with notes of liquorice and soft spice. The keynotes of freshness, fruit and finesse linger long into the finish.
Great with: robust flavourful sausages, pork and semi hard cheeses.
CHÂTEAU GRAND GAMELLE, ENTRE-DEUX-MERS, BORDEAUX, FRANCE, 2016
Château Grand Gamelle has been in the Allegret-Roy family for several generations. It is in the village of Ligeux, which is near the town of Sainte-Foy-La-Grande, in the extreme eastern outreaches of the Entre- Deux-Mers region. The vines are planted on clay-limestone slopes on the Pineuilh hills. This is a smooth, gentle wine with a good fruit expression and great aromatic length.
Perfect with: Steak Venison or Roast Beef....classy and very moreish!
